Customer Review: Best Machine I've Ever Used - Bar None!

This machine is used daily in my home. I replaced my $800 Italian machine with this one 2 years ago when my 'Lady' broke. The repair charge was going to be more that the cost of the Lido. It does take some experimentation to get the foam really creamy and good expresso crema, but it's well worth the effort. My foam is now thick as whipped cream and the crema luscious.
1)When steam light is ready hold the steam wand near the tilted side of a deep narrow container filled half-way with whole milk. (I don't care for skimmed milk coffee). Be sure the tip of the wand is just barely in the milk. It will swirl quite a lot and increase in volume. Don't let is scald or the coffee will taste off.
2)Allow to rest while you now make the coffee.
3)Add espresso grind coffee to the holder (3/4 full)and gently tap bottom on counter to level. Press firmly with tamper, but don't 'crush' it. You may need to experiment here too with pressure. When coffee begins to come through, count 20-24 seconds for proper amount of coffee and crema.
4)You are now ready to assemble the Cappuccino! Pour coffee into a warmed cup and spoon foam on top. Pour as much milk as you like on top of the foam and top with chocolate and/or cinnamon and ENJOY.
